Summary
“English is… is not first language,” the woman said quietly. Her accent was thick, and unmistakably Russian.
“Oh, sorry! I’m speaking too fast, aren’t I? Sorry,” she took a breath, and held out her hand. “I’m Yuna,” she repeated. The woman took her hand quickly, her hands bony and delicate.
“Irina,” she replied, before gesturing for Yuna to sit with her. Quickly, Yuna did. “Sorry, I have not been in Canada long.”
“No problem at all; welcome to Canada! Is that your boy?” Yuna asked, gesturing over to the child that had similar hair to Irina, which was poking out from under his helmet. He was taller than Shane, though his little hockey outfit still seemed to still dwarf him. He had a serious look on his face, but his eyes were light as he watched the other boys play. He was tapping his stick on the ice, clearly itching to get into the game.
“Ah, yes,” Irina nodded, taking a few seconds to translate the question, “Ilyusha.” Irina looked over at her son, a small smile on her face. “Is my Ilya.”
Or: Ilya and Irina move to Canada for a fresh start when he is six years old. He meets Shane Hollander at ice hockey practice, and they grow up together (and of course, fall in love).

Summary
Shane swallowed hard. “This is such a bad idea.”
“It is,” Ilya said.
His hand came up, thumb settling beneath Shane’s jaw and tilting his face upward. The touch alone sent a shiver through him.
“You are too young,” Ilya murmured. “You are going to get me into trouble.”
Shane barely had time to breathe before Ilya leaned in.
Shane Hollander has made a lot of mistakes in his life. Getting pregnant by a married Russian man twice his age is easily the worst one.

Summary
But Jaskier will forgive him. He knows this, more than he knows anything else. Geralt won’t even have to say anything before the bard is begging to tag along with him on whatever adventure he’s supposedly going on. He doesn’t have to have a genuine apology planned (and written, with help from Ciri, as important as it is) like he does with Yennefer. Not for someone simple like Jaskier, who forgives as easily as he breathes. Jaskier will forgive him without all that stupid nonsense. It’s always the same. Always.
OR
After a chance meeting with Jaskier whilst on the hunt for Yennefer a year and a half after the mountain, Geralt thinks it will be easy to earn his bard’s forgiveness.
Turns out, it’s not quite as simple as he assumes.

Summary
“Relax, Hollander,” Rozanov dismisses his worries with a wave of the hand, all but sauntering towards the bed before sitting on the mattress, leaning back on the sheets, legs crossed wide, ankle to the knee. His scent spreads in the warmly lit room. “I have them well trained. What is it called? Teaching a dog old tricks?”
“The saying goes ‘teaching an old dog new tricks’,” Shane corrects in a biting tone, already, for whatever reason, removing his own jacket. “And the point of it is, you can’t.”
Playing hockey for the MLH as a male omega isn’t easy. Resisting Ilya Rozanov, who wears his pheromones with pride and malice on the ice, only makes it that much harder.

“Shane, this is Anatoly Petrov and his husband—”
“Ilya Rozanov,” Shane blurts out before he can stop himself. Shane's shocked to see him now, a ghost plucked right out of his teenage years, his pre-MHL hockey days. He's even more shocked to see the modesty collar on Rozanov.
“Petrov,” the woman introducing them finishes weakly. “His husband, Ilya Petrov.”

Or: When Ilya is outed as an Omega, he's forcibly married off before he has the chance to break free and become an international hockey star. Years after the single game they played against one another, Shane and Ilya encounter each once again, and Shane helps Ilya escape the cage of his marriage.
