Ever the epitome of formality, Neuvillette nodded in acknowledgement. “And you too, Your Grace.”
And with that, he departed the Fortress, heels clicking gently against the rustic metal. Wriothesley watched him go with furrowed eyebrows and an intent gaze - it was almost as though the feeling of Hydro around the seal he’d left had returned full-force, leaving an elemental residue in his wake.It was no longer a joke, the Duke realised with a jolt. He really, truly wanted to drink tea with the Chief Justice.
(In which good times are had by all, the kettle in Neuvillette's office finally sees a healthy amount of usage, and tea is most certainly not a metaphor for anything important, trust me.)
