“Stiles,” He started hesitantly. “These men are from the FBI.” Yeah he had actually figured that one out thanks. “They are here because, because um- Fuck this difficult.” He sat down on the ottoman next to him, head in his hands, as the two agents sat in chairs on the other end of the coffee table. “Okay” The sheriff inhaled sharply “They are here because of Stephen. He’s alive.” Stiles froze. He could tell his dad was still talking but he couldn’t hear him, all he could hear was the sound of static, like his mind had panicked and shut his ears off before his brain blew up from the shock.

Summary
It’s something he tries not to think about.
Like most of the traumatic events in his life, it’s buried deep in the back of his mind. He only brings it out to pick at it anxiously in the dead of the night, unable to sleep out of the overwhelming fear that something might happen to his father while he’s unconscious. In the middle of the night, the moon hanging high in his bedroom window, he picks. Thinks about her. Thinks about the life he could’ve had if it weren’t for his poor mother losing her mind. Thinks about how the disease is hereditary. Thinks about how long it’d take for him to succumb, to end up like her.
But there’s one part about the whole ordeal that he doesn’t dare think about. A part that he feels if he so much as ponders, his father will wail. He tells himself he made it up, that it didn’t really happen. He tells himself over and over again.
Stiles Stilinski never had a brother.

In this world, Katniss and Peeta don’t exist, which means no revolution—at least for now. The familiar setting remains: 12 districts, the Hunger Games, and the Capitol. However, this version is set in the omegaverse—because why not? Thomas, an omega, and Teresa, a beta, are siblings. Being born in District 12 is bad enough, but being an omega on top of that? "Thomas, What have you done?" Minho's voice rang through the empty lab. Filled with worry.
Thomas turned around to face him. Black veins crawling up his neck, his eyes tired. His mask was off.
"Minho..." Shorter boy all but whispered his name.
"Thomas!" Minho run towards him. As graceful as he saw him first. "How did this happen?" Asian boy said, lifting his shirt to look at the wound, expecting a bite or scratches. He froze when he saw the small wound on his side. Small, almost like a puncture wound.
His eyes snapped to Thomas, then to the syringe on the table behind him. Next to it was something he never thought he would see again.
His stomach jumped to his throat, heart hammering in his ears. His voice dies, even before making it out. "Why?" He whispers instead.
He couldn't lose him. He couldn't lose Thomas too."For a second chance." Thomas said his tired eyes looking at Minho's. "For everyone. For Newt."
