He doesn’t have enough time to react as a snowball strikes the back of his head, fast, sending him toppling to his knees, Jess cheering out excitedly, “Boom shakka-lakka!”
“Okay, no, you got me… fair enough… okay,” Mike mutters, pushing himself back to his feet as he hears Jess’ laugh from behind him. He was so going to get her back for that.
“You can’t hide from me, Michael,” She teases, picking up a clump of snow and rolling it out into a ball. “I know all your tricks”
Her eyes land on Mike, crouched behind a tree, as he gathers snow into his hand, but she moves quickly, not giving him any chance, and throws another snowball right into his face, sending him right back onto the snow. She smiles and cheers at another successful hit, “That’s right!”
“I’m gonna find you, Jess,” He grits out as he brings himself back up again, oh he was definitely getting her back now, especially when she begins moving forward, sprinting and teasing him. “And then what”
He lets himself grin, finding his footing and moving around the small area, and finding himself behind a tree as Jess calls out.

Summary
Jaime’s eyes shot open at the sudden barrage of knocks coming from his door down his apartment. The knocks came again and again, rough and loud, and all he could do was drag his hand down his face and groan loudly.
The knocks stopped, and he grabbed his phone, turning it on to see the time. 1:13 AM. One in the god-forsaken morning. A second loud groan escaped him, “Jesus Christ, man.”
He shoved the covers off of him, not once bothering to put a shirt on, just slipping on a pair of slippers before trudging his way down to the front door. He was gonna have a few select words for whoever decided to wake him up so early.
And he had a sneaking suspicion of who could be on the other side, because he only really knew one man who was fine bothering him this much, knowing he’d get away with it.
Throwing the door open, he’s greeted with a disheveled Kai Parker. His boyfriend.

Tommy nudged his toes against the instep of the corpse at his feet, bloodied knife dangling from his other hand, and muttered, “Not bad. Top ten, for sure,” snapped a polaroid, put it on the counter out of the way, and then turned to reach for the bucket that he had stashed in the corner of the bathroom before jumping the man. It had been a bit messier than expected—but then again, Tommy always prepared for things to turn messy and kind of enjoyed it more when it did…though it did make for harder clean up. His dad had always said cleaning up was a woman’s work, but his mother’s skills had helped him more than his father’s ever had.
