The question brings Lu Guang out of his stupor, and he manages to not miss a beat as he looks to his friend and says, "It won't."
The other male releases an exhale and sinks into his seat, "Can't blame a guy for trying."
Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang fly back home after spending three harrowing days in Bridon. One spirals, the other grounds.

"Aren't you?" Cheng Xiaoshi responds before taking a few gulps, internally relieved that the other male at least appears more confused than offended by the comment.
He's serious. With a further quirk of his eyebrow, Lu Guang plainly corrects him, "I'm an Omega."
Or, it takes Cheng Xiaoshi a month to realize his new friend isn't a Beta.

Those railroad tracks for braces and thick rimmed glasses are from a period that seems so long ago despite only being a year behind her, but she remembers how it felt looking the way she did among a ferocious wave of classmates ready to tear into anyone who stood out.
They'd eventually be swapped for retainers and contact lenses, but her red hair and freckles had no where to go.
