Summary
The TV standing in the living room erupts to life with a piercing screech that cuts through the room, bright static flooding the screen in a blinding wash of white. The sound is overwhelming, and Sam finds himself recoiling instinctively from the sudden onslaught of light. He is vaguely aware of someone striding toward the TV and slapping it in some sort of feeble attempt to get it to stop whatever the hell it was doing—but it all feels distant. Muted. Like it’s happening behind a wall he can’t quite see through.
Not that it matters much to him anyways. He’s too busy looking at the screen.

Eddie was really freaking bored and he was going to lose his mind if he didn't do anything to occupy his already spiraling train of thought. He was more alert and highly stung today, just waiting for the inevitable danger to approach his hideaway. Turns out that being locked away in a cramped boathouse in the middle of nowhere isn't exactly the best of situations to be in, especially when the whole town thinks you are a cold blooded, murdering freak.

It comes at a snail’s pace, Sigma’s face lifting, spazzing as he flits his eyes to her. Startled, still. His palms lay flat on the table, holding him upright. He looks like he’s being weighed down, back hunched as his head struggles to stay straight. The wild look in his pale eyes says so much that Lena can't form into words. She… feels it. It, whatever it is, melds tightly around her body, pressing with a crushing insistence. It hurts to even breathe, and she sucks in the tiniest of breaths.
