Summary
Margaret cooed, “Oh, look at you two. He’s all you, Buck. An exact copy, the smile, the eyes, everything. He’s definitely your son. A mini Buck.”
Buck smiled again and gave Theo a twirl, making him giggle.
Then Maddie said, “Except the hair. Chris’s hair is more like Buck’s than Theo’s.”
Buck smiled and started, “Yeah, Chris…”
Chris cut him off. “I don’t look like Buck. I’m not his son.”OR
Christopher hears it over and over again: "mini Buck, his son, just like him", until he starts to wonder where that leaves him.
Eddie sees it happening but doesn’t know how to stop it. But they find their way to each other.Bookmarked by ShadowB3e

Summary
“I think I related to him,” Eddie admits quietly.
“I mean, I grew up with the culture and obviously Pepa and Abuela are here now, but…” He fidgets with the blanket in his lap. “I haven’t really felt connected to it since I was eighteen. And when I do, it’s mostly family stuff. Obligation.”+++
"Don't you think it'd be weird to call Chimney mi amor?"
Buck freezes for exactly half a second.
"...Okay, good point."
Eddie folds his arms triumphantly.
"I have an additional part to the plan," Buck says, clearly refusing to abandon this idea.
"Let's hear it."
Buck points directly at himself.
"Call me mi amor."
Despite not eating anything, Eddie nearly chokes.
"You want me... to call you my love?"
Buck immediately scratches the back of his neck, suddenly looking much less confident than he had three seconds ago.
"Well..." he mumbles. "When you say it like that..."

Or, Eddie tries to re-find his culture and ends up finding a little more than he bargained for.

Summary
Out of the corner of his eye, Buck caught Eddie stiffen, knuckles pale against his beer bottle.
"You okay?" Buck whispered in his direction.
Eddie blinked, as if he'd been somewhere else for a second.
"Hm?" His smile returned just as quickly. "Yeah."
Another firework detonated, louder than the last.
Eddie's shoulders jerked almost imperceptibly.
It was so brief Buck almost convinced himself he'd imagined it.
