    There’s a hunger in Hikaru's body– a craving, a need, a want. It’s maddening. He’s never felt this urge before. It’s not of his kind. It’s human-like, it’s like this body is teaching him a reaction he hasn't known before.

    He’s losing composure, gripping Yoshiki’s waist tighter, probably so much that it’d bruise. Yoshiki follows with an obedience that allows him to be maneuvered to Hikaru's whim. Only Hikaru's. No one else can ever touch him like this.

    It doesn’t look like ‘Hikaru’ is looking at Yoshiki, rather it seems he peers past the exposed skin, through layers of muscle and bone into his core.

    His core where his soul lay, fixed beneath his heart.

    The soul is a fickle thing, a light constantly flickering in a way that attracts the spirits beyond. That is why ‘Hikaru’ had laid claim on Yoshiki’s soul long ago, practically scenting it in a show of dominance to ward other spirits off. However, this means that ‘Hikaru’ has a tendency to sometimes get drunk off of that power, off of the claim that he holds over Yoshiki.

    I can’t, Yoshiki thought. That’s the whole problem. That’s the sickness. I can’t.

    He looked at Hikaru.

    Hikaru looked back.

    Yoshiki wondered what he saw. What he thought. What he felt.

    What he was.

    Hikaru, unconscious to the tempest in Yoshiki's head, cocked his head and smiled.

    The seam at Hikaru’s collarbone parted first.

    Yoshiki wants Hikaru to touch him, wants Hikaru to wear his skin and meld inside him, wants Hikaru to want him. He knows it's sick. He wants it anyway.
