Putting in an appearance at this house party is actually part of his seventeen-step plan to convince his dad and Bruce to let him back in the vigilante game. The current phase of the plan is all about showing what a normal, well-adjusted teenager he is, despite the unconventional night job he's had for the past several years.
To that end, Tim is slightly tipsy, nursing a terrible concoction in a red plastic cup, and about to play a game he's never heard of, something called "Seven Minutes in Heaven".

Bruce didn’t know where the omega pup under the coffee table had come from, but he’d run a blood test on himself, and he wasn’t under the influence of any mind-altering substances. At least, if he was under the influence of those substances, the computer he’d hallucinated had said otherwise.
Bruce had given himself a round of antidotes to the most common pollens and poisons he dealt with in his line of work anyways, only to come back and find that yes, there was still a small omega pup in his living room.

So why the hell couldn't that one guy seem to stay dead? And what was with that stupid cupid nickname?
Jason keeps dying. It would be fine if it wasn't for the fact that he also keeps waking up. He didn't understand the magic that claimed his soul and refused to grant him peace. He sure as hell didn't understand why that weird cupid with black-tipped arrows seemed to keep following him around.

He’d been so worried, he hadn’t been able to sleep, hadn’t been able to do much of anything but search, albeit aimlessly. Stupid, he thought, suddenly angry at himself. Sloppy. Probably the exact reaction Ra’s had hoped for, planned to prey upon.

Summary
Jason had a family now. He had his kid, he had his boyfriend, he even agreed to call Dick his brother. That was it, though. He didn't need to waste whatever precious free time he had on dealing drama from the rest of the poor fools that Bruce drafted into his stupid mission.

"You're not doing this to me again."
Leslie blinked up at him innocently as she asked, "Doing what?"
"The whole 'boo-hoo, I can't let this kid go home with anyone but you' bit," He gave her the most unimpressed look he could muster, "It was bad enough the first time. Now? Not gonna fly."
And, okay, Shoes being shipped home with Jason didn't actually turn out to be a bad thing. All in all, it turned out pretty damn great. He got a child who he loved more than anything and a boyfriend who made him feel like he actually belonged as a part of a family. But that was a hyper specific situation that just so happened to yield positive results.
Lightning wouldn't strike twice. It wouldn't end as well the second time around, especially since Leslie's version of a redo seemed to be calling Jason for help with Timothy fucking Drake.

When Scarecrow breaks out of Arkham, four children are kidnapped to serve as test subjects in fear toxin experiments. One of these children happens to be Lian Harper, the emerging young Gotham vigilante known as the Cheshire Cat, who has been training under Red Hood and Arsenal. Suddenly, Bruce's "take down" of Scarecrow, with Nightwing and Robin by his side, has turned more into a mission of monitoring Red Hood and Arsenal to ensure no one dies while the two of them attempt to rescue their... sidekick? Trainee? Prodigy? ...Daughter?
Bruce wrestles with what family means to him, with what family means to Jason, and what family used to mean (perhaps one day could mean again) between them both.

Shoes was helping herself to the parts of a motorcycle that was way too nice to be left unattended at night in this part of town. It was sure to be a decent pay out, until she heard the stupid robot voice call out from behind her, “You know, this is like some fucked-up, backwards deja vu for me.”
She tensed for a moment but didn’t bother turning to see the Red Hood there. At some point after the big bad crime boss started giving her tips on how to get away with stealing or offering her his fucking jacket in the cold, he started to lose his edge of intimidation. Instead she focused on removing the back tire of the bike and saying, “This is just some routine maintenance.”

He'd given it an hour at first because Jason was sometimes late for reasons that were mundane and unreachable— a scene running long, a contact who needed more time, the general unpredictability of a Tuesday night in Gotham. Roy had sat with the patience for an hour, kept his hands busy with the maintenance work that was always waiting: fletching checked, broadheads inspected, the small attentive work of keeping his equipment in the condition that meant the difference between functional and not. He gave his brain the small attentive things. He watched the clock in his peripheral and not directly.
Then the hour was up and he ran the checks.

“Oh, Jaybird, he really doesn’t deserve a sweet boy like you,” Roy murmured, his breath hot against the shell of Jason’s ear as he continued drawing slow, hypnotic circles with his thumb around the boy's hip.
A dark, sharp smile cut across Roy's face when he felt the younger one tremble against him. He couldn't help but think of Dick in that moment, a triumphant satisfaction twisting in his chest. Really, Dick. It’s such a shame. It was almost pathetic how Dick kept wasting his chances with this kid. With a sweet boy who would have done absolutely anything for him, who literally worshipped the very ground Dick walked on.
But Dick had hesitated. Dick had walked away. And Roy wasn't going to make the same damn mistake.
