Summary
Tom had always considered it particularly petty on Albus Dumbledore’s part in assigning Tom to be the one to introduce muggleborn first years to Hogwarts. He was sure that Albus thought it was some sort of teaching moment, exposing Tom to muggles repeatedly as though he’d gain some sort of empathy and moral epiphany whenever he met a half-decent parent.
However, it didn’t matter how many muggles he met or how many of them actually tried to be a decent parent to their magical children. There were more failures than successes, more broken homes and troubled children than not.
And it seemed to be getting worse every year.

They had a loyalty that was born not just from compatible personalities and exposure to each other since infancy but from shared experiences. They had both endured similar things as children, had both endured the other truth of Shikamaru’s world.
Yamanaka Ino was crazy.

Summary
Harry stumbles across a strange room with a strange man in it, one who doesn't recognize him at all. To Harry, a sudden celebrity, it's a wonder beyond wonders. He latches onto this man, the only one who treats him like a normal student and the only one who is kind to him in this strange place, and vows to do whatever he can to help him escape his prison.

Voldemort rewards all those who serve him faithfully, even if they happen to also be the one who condemned his primary body to an existence as a wraith. That he gets to fulfill his desire to teach and pull one over on Albus Dumbledore is really a bonus. And if the price to pay for it is to become the magical guardian of a child, then so be it.

Summary
The very last thing that Voldemort expects to find one evening as he undresses for the long bath that soothes the cold ache of his bones is the scratch of black letters that adorn the top of his thigh. He has been returned to his body for less than a week and here he stands in the immaculate deep-sea themed bathroom of his guest suite in Malfoy Manor with the lies of his soulmate written on his skin.
The absurdity of it makes him laugh.

A soulmate. A soulmate. One who planned a home for him, according to their previous words. One who wanted to keep him safe and protect him.
Harry can’t imagine how they’ll manage it, considering the whole wizarding world is against him—including the Dark Lord himself—but he likes to dream about it. Maybe they’ll whisk him away from the train at the end of the year and he’ll not have to see the Dursleys ever again. Maybe they’ll take him out of Britain entirely. Surely Voldemort will leave him alone if he’s not even in the country, right?

Summary
During sixth year, Harry and his yearmates are gathered to participate in an inter-house multi-week project to take care of a little magical doll that would act just like a real baby in order to emulate a popular Muggle school activity of a similar nature. The students have to pair up and 'adopt' a baby together, promoting cooperation as well as responsibility. However, because of the uneven number of students, one of them has to be a single parent.
Of course, Harry Potter ends up raising his doll alone.

“I’ll get right to the point,” Granger-Weasley said firmly, “The Ministry has been logging an increase in floo transit malfunctions. People have had their access at home removed or suspended or reduced in range. Floo connections that were once reliable for general public use have gone down more and more. People are reporting a missed connection with their floo stops with at least one in every five trips. Some shops have lost their floo access entirely.”
“So far we’ve managed to contain this...event,” Granger-Weasley said quietly, “But as of now all international floo travel has been restricted to emergencies only. People are starting to notice that something is happening but no one can explain what it is or how it started. While we were discussing solutions, it was brought up that there are few that have as vast an understanding of magic as you do, Lord Voldemort.
“As unorthodox as it is to ask, considering your situation here, would you be willing to investigate this problem and help come up with a solution for the Ministry?”
Voldemort kept his smile to himself.

The man reached past Lily and broke a pair of leaves from the tree overhead. He twirled them in his fingers, transfiguring them wordlessly and wandlessly into to wine goblets—clear as crystal. In an unfairly smooth voice, he asked, “May I join you in partaking of the evening’s celebration?”
“Just for a drink?” the man pressed, those pink lips of his quirking up in a partial smile, his eye-lids lowering enough to hood his intense red gaze. “I have a feeling we will enjoy each other’s company tonight.”
Here, at last, was perhaps someone who wouldn’t look at her askance for keeping her wand in its holster while she cast spells, wanting to feel the magic course through her fingers, through her very bones instead of pulled out along the unfeeling wood.

After his first year of Hogwarts, Harry accidentally meets and befriends a few older boys from the neighborhood that he first thinks might also be wizards. Even though he discovers his mistake quickly, Harry continues to meet up with the boys in order to escape the Dursleys and also to join them in their game of Dungeons and Dragons. Every summer between school years, Harry goes to play D&D with this group of friends and every year he learns a little more what it's like to be a proper wizard from his muggle friends.

At least not until he enrolled in Hogwarts: a school of Witchcraft and Wizardry. As a brand new outcast of Slytherin, he wonders about his childhood friend and brother, Harry Potter, and where he is in life. Does he remember Tom? Is he excited to come to Hogwarts? Will he want to reconnect when he does?
So he writes a letter and sends it out. What he gets in response, however, changes everything.

Harry liked to think that if he were a man-eating tiger, not even Vernon would want anything to do with him because, after all, Vernon was a man and that is what man-eating tigers ate.
From that day on, instead of wishing that his parents would appear magically at his front door and whisk him away, Harry wished instead that he could become a tiger. No one would hurt him then. They would be far too scared and Harry would finally, finally be safe.

Harry’s summer takes a turn for the absurd all at once. He saves his cousin from dementors, Voldemort comes to his house, and he gets married all in the span of one night. He didn’t expect any of this to happen, has no idea what he’s going to tell his friends when they finally find out, and can’t believe why Voldemort—Tom—is doing all this just because of a stupid prophecy.
Who would ever take a prophecy seriously?

And then Petunia was back on her feet and reaching for the nearest thing to hit Harry with and he put his arm up, but not fast enough to stop the bottom of the hot pan from hitting his cheek. Harry cried out, stumbled back, and couldn’t block the next hit from the side of his head.
After that, everything went dark.
