Now, that's a gem.
A take of their story starting with the what-if of their encounter back in Bushuu, then of theirs ten years later. As the retelling goes, it includes natural woving of new elements, regarding the plot and their complicated relationship, that are always so interesting to discover and reread over. It delves deeper and deeper into darker themes, and we find ourselves witnessing some really striking introspections.
The writing is of exceptional quality !! Overall, I would say the main strength of this fic, among many, many others, is the sheer maturity coming with the handling of the matters at hand. A special attention has been given to the handling of war and violence trauma in a very novel way for Gintama, and it is flawless. The Hijikata portrayed here depicts one of the truly best narrative perspectives we've ever had of and from this character. We get to focus on some unexplored aspects of his, and once again, it is masterfully done.
I'll definitely wait for new chapters to come !! It is all worth it !

Life goes on as usual. (Not) paying the rent late, going to a pachinko parlor and eating strawberry parfaits are a part of Gintoki's daily routine. But as of late, a new habit wormed its way in his peaceful everyday life. He wakes up every night in a cold sweat gasping for air. After waiting with bated breath, he hears the sounds of Kagura and Sadaharu's breathing coming from the closet. 'They're here.' No longer able to sleep, he throws off his covers, gets dressed and picks up his bokuto.
The spring night is cold and his breath clouds the air before him. He stands in a pristine meadow, almost in a daze.
And underneath the moonlight, he starts a fervent sword dance.
Set after Gintama: The Very Final.

Summary
It's not when the sun sets or the moon dips that he worries for Hijikata, it's when the stars in his eyes fall to pieces and there's barely anything left of the man he's come to know. Somehow it's easier to open up to people who reflect you, but Gintoki thinks Hijikata is so much better and the fact of the matter is, Hijikata thinks Gintoki is better too.

A journey to healing after, one day, simply breaking down from all the things life has imposed on Hijikata. Depicting so well just how the fall of this demon of a man shatters the world of those around him.
How unique of a story it was. The physical intimacy that comes as soon as Hijikata's distress appears, Gintoki's body moving before thinking, as his universe comes to revolve around Hijikata too fast, too soon for him to be able to handle the rush of feelings that come with witnessing the regression of his other self, and this searing need to be closer, to be sure that he's still there, that he will be there for Hijikata for as long as needed in order for him to come back to life.
Very well-paced and thoughtfully written, with an especially interesting kind of angst. But this journey has an end, and eventually, it turns out to be a peaceful one.

Hijikata helps Gintoki get home when he is drunk. It shouldn't go any further than that, but somehow things get complicated. They smoke together late at night and get way too close to something new.
Neither of them is emotionally equipped to deal with the fallout. They dance around each other and insult each other all while falling into "something more."A very slow-paced fic about falling in love with a lot of humor.

Perfection in what it aims to be. The slow and honest paced story of two people falling in love and being able to face it together, as they realize the process is happening to both.
It is refreshing to see them so open, a testimony of all the things lived before that erases any doubt in trusting the other fully, leaving them brave enough to face what is happening to themselves, and what is going to happen to them together. Naked of anything that could prevent a halt or a crash during the process.
The atmosphere is something else. This unnamed love and this brilliant trust perspire everywhere and it feels so, so...

Summary
Gin-san buys a Phone Microwave (Temporary Name). He makes changes to the timeline, becoming his own past self’s best wing man. Aside from some minor unexpected consequences, everything goes exactly the way he wants, until he gets stuck in a loop where he is forced to repeatedly watch a loved one die tragically. Anybody who has watched Steins;Gate could have told him that would happen.
If any of the warnings, tags or summary scare you, just remember that through the magic (plot device) of time travel, it can all be put back to normal.

A Steins;Gate inspired fic handled very, very well. Definitely worth reading.
It made me relive the feelings of despair and the anguish of the fatality that come with the Steins;Gate experience. Gintoki suffers a lot, as expected, and it comes off as cathartic enough.
Given the complexity of the matters of time travel and all the intricate elements needed to create an original story within the Gintama universe, I'd say this one is quite a qualitative and pertinent achievement. The author feared nothing to come across their point.
(Bonus : some very unexpected but welcomed casual threesome.)
Also, the nsfw scenes are impeccable and highly enjoyable.
