They'd never talked about sex in the year they'd known each other. Well, that wasn't quite correct: Sherlock had never said a word about sex; John had bemoaned his personal dearth of it on many occasions.

'So how do you deal with it?' She asks—and even in her own ears, Fred's voice sounds small. 'When it stops? When the busyness stops?'
They look at each other. Then Willow breathes out, a long breath. 'I think you, um...Break things off with your girlfriend and go to San Francisco and spend too many afternoons hanging out at the Institute of Science pretending you're thirteen again.'

Fred and Willow meet up in San Francisco, the gay capital of the west coast, talk nerdy to each other and fulfill the Orpheus ship-that-never-was.
It gets sexy, but not till Chapter 2. You also have to wade through a ton of contextulising flashbacks and vague fluffy plot. Sorry. Set between Why we Fight and Smile Time.

A response to Helga Von Nutwimple's Vamp-in-the-Box Challenge. Wolfram & Hart make a slight error, and bring Drusilla back instead of Darla at the end of Ats S1. Drusilla heads straight to Sunnydale and Spike, and in the process throws a monkey wrench into Buffy's thinking. Oh, and Riley left after "Restless."

“You know you’ve got a willing slave,” were the words Spike sang. Buffy dismissed them at the time, her mind and her heart not ready to accept what that might mean. While Buffy finds herself on the wrong side of a demon mafia, Spike takes it upon himself to show her, and himself, the true meaning of his words.

"Giles got turned into a cat?" Riley asks. "That guy can't catch a break."
"Oh, no, common misconception," says Spike. "Rupert and human Rupert are different people."

Or: Spike adopts a very dumb orange cat who helps him experience the power of friendship and, more importantly, psychologically torment Giles.
