Summary
The pain.
The burning sensation emitted from his open wounds - blackened like charcoal, open wires of nerve trembling at the open air flowing through his body as energon speckles out of his wound to the open abyss beneath him.
Then came the numbness.
The slow fading of his consciousness - his last gaze set on the bot he trusted - loved the most. He wants to reach out - to push him away from the path he’s about to pass through - the path of violence and vengeance. And yet, all he could do was mutter nothingness.
“D… No…” His last words - so small, so insignificant. A far cry from his old self - his old life. A life he had sacrificed for a dream - a hope for a better future for every one of his peers and friends. How fate rarely plays in one’s interest.
A retelling of Orion Pax's ascension into Optimus Prime from the movie "Transformers: One" with a bit of inspiration from the comic series "Transformers: Autocracy" from the IDW 2005 continuity.
