Branch sits at his rock, and watches the empty village. He listens to Poppy's nonsensical stories about the people who used to live here.
She talks at length about how this must have been a bustling village before it was destroyed, and how a prince must have lived in the hole in the ground on the outskirts of town. He bristles his wings and scoffs. Surely, this village had a princess, not a prince.
They were each others' only company, in this empty village. At least they were, until a yappy little bat with a strange scroll attached to it arrived, waiting for a mortal to receive it.

Summary
Red Son gets transported away from home without a way back. Unfortunately, he's been transported to a tiny island with nothing but seagulls and an ominous tower.
His only saving grace seems to be that the tower previously belonged to an inventor. It's up to him to build a way back home.
Oh, and there seems to be an abandoned robot hidden within the tower's walls. Perhaps he can make use of it somehow.

Macaque finds out what MK is. He finds out Sun Wukong hasn't told his own successor about his true nature. He does the Monkey King a favour and tells the kid the bad news in a way meant to give MK anxiety and self-doubt.
MK learns that he's a leech, and doesn't know how long he's been (potentially) hurting his family. Even though he wasn't aware that it was happening, the guilt is crushing. He feels gross.
Mei is the best bestie he could have ever asked for.

After an unfortunate crash landing on a mysterious island, Zane wakes up with hardly a memory but his name.
Flower Fruit Mountain, the home and birthplace to the well-known Monkey King. A beautiful well of prosperity completely surrounded and protected by the Flaming Mountains. To the Monkey King, this meant he very rarely received surprise visitors. That along with the fact that he's supposedly in hiding meant no visitors at all, actually. At least none he wanted to speak to, until he spotted an ice elemental of all things taking a hike in his backyard.
