Summary
“Tongari, you won’t believe who just came into work on the site.”
Vash considers Wolfwood’s upcoming anecdote to be more interesting than the lilypad he’s been trying to embroider for the past four hours, so he lifts his head and smiles. Their eyes meet, and Wolfwood’s expression does that thing that makes Vash feel like his stomach is cramping.
It occurs to Vash that Wolfwood had likely been prompting him to speak—to guess, for as good as Vash is not at guessing games of this nature.
“Oh, uh,” Vash wracks his mind of names. It has to be someone Wolfwood knows and would find exciting—equally, it has to be someone who Vash wouldn’t expect to find on “the site”, which is a label that does not refer to a specific location but rather wherever the little construction company Wolfwood is employed part-time by is working for the week.
Nonetheless, it’s not a remarkably long list of names, but Vash still lets out a sigh. “I hate guessing games.”

Daniel nodded slowly. A thousand lifetimes, a million, perhaps more – he had the suspicion he would always want to come back to Armand in the end, but he didn’t want to cause problems here either. They were happy. They deserved to be fucking happy.
“And perhaps, when it comes to the one who makes us, it’s a love we will never move past,” Louis admitted. “No matter how much time has passed, nor how truly infuriating they are.”
“Tell me about it,” Daniel agreed quietly.
“I did tell you about it, Daniel.” Louis said. “You wrote a book about it. They made a movie about it, and this is why Lestat likes to sing Sympathy for the Devil on the karaoke.”
A reunion in (hopefully) six parts: Armand and Daniel finding their way back together during and after Prince Lestat.
