Summary
Before Caitlyn could say another word, Vi lunged forward and pulled her into a tight, desperate hug. Tears welled up in Vi's eyes and began to spill down her cheeks, washing away all the months of silent heartbreak and doubt.
"We did it," Vi whispered thickly, burying her face into Caitlyn's neck. "We're actually going to be moms."
"Yes," Caitlyn whispered back, her own tears blurring her vision.
Vi pulled back just enough to cup Caitlyn's face in her hands. She leaned in and kissed her deeply, a sweet, lingering kiss filled with pure relief and absolute joy. When they parted, Vi rested her forehead against Caitlyn's, both of them crying and smiling at the same time.
"I love you..." Vi whispered against her lips, repeating the words over and over like a sacred vow.
