Summary
The pots of his plants do not whisper Yoongi a good morning and the kitchen counter no longer hums greetings. The faded brick walls do not tell him the weather, and the yellowed pages of poetry books he’s left scattered on top of his mahogany desk no longer remind him of the date today. Instead, they tell him “He’s in love, he’s terribly in love” and “He’s in love, and with you.”
Yoongi would catch his favorite mug mumble anecdotes of sanguine faces and locked pinkies as he nurses it in his hands. His apartment keys jingle and ramble about stolen kisses and long, lingering goodbyes. His scarf would murmur something about the faint scent of dried paint and sweet pea and the buttons on his trench coat would tease him about tender, burning stares.
“He loves you, he’s in love with you,” his wristwatch whispers into the dark of the night as it sits on his shelf.
“You’ve only seen him once,” Yoongi grunts.
“Once is more than enough,” it retorts, voice rather condescending, yet gentle all the same. “I could feel your pulse. You, too. You’re in love with him, too.”
(or: Yoongi talks to objects and Taehyung walks in dreams. They're both in love.)
