Summary
"You wanna psychoanalyze me?” he whispered, voice curling against your skin like smoke. “Crack me open, see what makes a monster tick?” He laughed softly, the sound more sin than humor. “Or maybe you just wanna ride the line a little. Get close. Pretend it’s for work, for research, for Jed... but really?” His mask brushed your jaw, featherlight. “You’re chasing the thrill.”
His hand slid down your side, leather palm gliding slow and easy down your shirt, fingers lingering just a second too long.
“You want the danger,” he said, voice thick, teasing. “You want it to look like a study—while you let the monster under your skin and wonder how deep he’ll go.”
