Summary

Summary
Wei Ying tries to find a back to his old life after Lan WangJi dumped him for his brother, only to realise that it wasn't as easy as it seemed. It felt as if the entire world had turned it's back on him. He felt helpless, almost unable to breathe. The feeling one might get when they are Drowning. The helplessness and the desperation. Wei Ying felt it all. He only wished for someone to walk inside his life, he only wished to be loved once again.

Summary
Wei Ying did not awaken before the altar of his husband Lan Zhan’s death, but instead in the middle of a crowd calling out his name. In his confusion, his eyes immediately found Lan Zhan standing across from him, separated by another crowd, as if fate itself had drawn a boundary between them.
Yet the world he woke into was filled with strangeness. Nie Huaisang warned him again and again that Wei Ying would forever witness Lan Zhan’s death, just as Lan Zhan would be doomed to witness his. Six years after being sent back to Leracal under the pretext of helping in an approaching war, Tei still goes to the chapel in the capital and spends the white night amidst supplications and prayers to a deity he doesn't even believe exists.
Tei prays for protection, health, and longevity for the young ray of sunshine that remained in Arnata.
Tei also prays that the small ray of sunshine he brought from Arnata will never be called by the goddess who breathed life into its lungs.
