Over time, she had come to realize multi is single-handedly the only person on the island who actually gives a shit about her. Everyone else keeps things from her. They lie, manipulate, and plan against her. Multi however had always made her feel like an equal. Like someone she was on level ground with.
He was distraught when he learned Katie had given up nacho a few days back. Even though her plan in the long run was to get everybody back (which worked). She couldent blame him for not wanting to speak to her last night. He would likely never want to see her again.
Therefore, if she could give up her life to keep him and nacho safe, it would be a win win scenario
He wouldn’t have to be around Katie, the evil monster who sacrificed his child to the literal devil. And she wouldn’t have to live without the one person who ever cared about her.
Or
Katie is captured by the dark Feds thinking nobody will care to find her, she is quickly proven wrong

The past few weeks had been particularly difficult.
Nacho had decided bedtime was a group activity.
Every night, he demanded both parents be present. Multi had managed to negotiate and bribe his way through the first few nights, but the boy hadnt given up tonight.“Mama and Dada."
That was all he'd say. Eventually, with a heavy sigh, Multi pulled out his communicator.
‘Can you come over? Nacho will not sleep without you’.
