Castiel Novak lived in Nevaeh and his best friend in the world was Dean Winchester-Singer. Castiel never felt like he fit in, but when he was with Dean everything seemed right in the world. He would soon find that just one simple act would change his entire life.

Castiel Novak is trying hard to find a school that will accept his non-binary kid, Jack, just the way they are. Twin Pines Elementary might be exactly what Castiel is looking for, in more way than one: Jack’s new teacher is a gorgeous child whisperer with bright green eyes and perfectly pink lips that Castiel can’t stop thinking about in ways that are completely inappropriate for a parent to be thinking about their child’s teacher.
Dean Winchester is trying to find love, but that’s difficult when all he does is hang out with 8 year olds all day at his job. He LOVES being a second grade teacher, but what he really wants is to find love. He finds it in a pair of icy blue eyes. Unfortunately, that person is the father of his new student. He might have only spoken to him twice, but Dean can’t stop having dreams about Castiel that leave him angry and horny, which is not an awesome combination when trying to shape the minds of the future.
When Castiel and Dean are thrown together to work at the elementary school’s Fall carnival, will they be able to use their words and tell each other how they feel? Or will they find themselves alone once more?

The last person Dean expected to see in Lawrence was his childhood friend and crush, Jimmy Novak, who is the forensic pathologist that performed the autopsy on his father. The news of his father’s death and seeing Jimmy again brought back a flood of memories for Dean. One of Dean’s biggest regrets was not ever telling Jimmy how he felt about him before Jimmy left Sioux Falls. Will Dean find the courage to tell his friend how he truly feels or will the memories of his youth be too much?

Summary
