Summary
The blackouts are getting worse.
They aren't dangerous, in the long run, just strange. Strange because they only ever happen when Shane is at home; never on the road, at the rink, or even when in public.
His blackouts only ever happen in his condo.
Shane doesn't even realize something is happening at first. He'll get home after practice or a game, exhausted, and the second the front door closes behind him something in his body loosens. A warmth spreads through him and his thoughts will go fuzzy at the edges. His inner omega will start purring low and smug in the back of his mind.
Nest, it says.
Once the thought hits, the urge becomes almost unbearable. He usually makes it to the bedroom before the rest hits. Shane will crawl into bed still half dressed, burrowing instinctively into the blankets, dragging pillows close against his chest while warmth floods his body in thick, heavy waves. His painfully organized nest will become messy, Shane digging around until the chaotic placements feels perfect.
And then—nothing. Absolutely nothing. Hours vanish, sometimes even entire evenings.

Summary
"For the first time, Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov - hockey's most formidable partnership for more than a decade - speak entirely in their own words, joined by those closest to them. Intimate, candid and unsparing, this is not just the story of two careers, but of a relationship lived largely in secret, and the private moments that led them here: husbands, finally playing on the same team, with a single shared goal - to win the Stanley Cup together."
During Shane’s first season in Ottawa, Trent Crimm joins the Centaurs to chronicle what they hope will be a historic campaign. What he’s ultimately trusted with, however, isn’t just a season, but the privilege of documenting the previously untold history of Shane and Ilya’s years-long romance.

Summary
Rooster noticed him first. His eyes got impossibly wide and he choked on his beer. Hangman smacked him on the back a few times, giving him a look. Coyote followed Rooster’s gaze and tried to stand up, jostling the table and making everyone’s beer rattle.
“Holy shit, Admiral Simpson!” Coyote said, trying to salute. Halo and Harvard leapt to their feet, spinning to face him. The rest of the pilots were scrambling, clearly unsure what to do. His eyes flicked to Pete, and he was glad to see the smile looked a little more real.
“You own civilian clothes, sir?” Hangman said after a moment, looking him up and down. Beau knew he looked good, that dark red henley open just enough to show a hint of chest hair, dark wash jeans, and his bomber jacket.
“Oh my god, Hangman, you can’t ask an admiral if they own civvies!” Phoenix hissed.
“I mean, I kind of just assumed he popped out of the womb in working khakis, you know?” Hangman said. “Uh, sorry, sir.”
***
Beau and Pete have been married for years. Beau is tired of hiding it, and it comes out at The Hard Deck, a week after the mission.

Summary
“It’s okay. I don’t need anything.”
“I am not going to eat in front of you while you have nothing, Hollander,” Ilya scoffs. He plucks a can of cold ginger ale from the top shelf as casually as he can manage and slides it over the island, interrupting Hollander’s fidgeting thumbs. “You must be hungry, yes? It’s been hours since you left hotel. I can make something. Easy.”
“Make… what?” he asks warily.
Ilya rolls his eyes and tosses a look over his shoulder. “Do not worry. I will find something that works for your special hockey diet,” he teases. He reaches back into the fridge. “Tuna melt okay?”
“No,” Hollander says primly. “And it’s a disease. Not a diet.”
He pulls his hands out of the cold and turns, blinks. “What?”
