Summary
FlameFrags is haunted by a red-eyed clone connected to his chestplate, which forces him to relive painful memories of ManePear, Jaden, Lomedy, and Wemmbu. The clone twists every argument, loss, and misunderstanding into proof that Flame has been abandoned, pushing him to seek revenge and hurt the people he cares about. Flame remembers how Mane called him annoying for obsessing over beating Wemmbu, how he pushed Lomedy away when Lomedy tried to help, and how the chestplate was given to him by Ash. The clone reveals it is not only part of the armor, but a reflection of Flame’s fear, anger, guilt, and belief that everyone will leave him. Flame tries to destroy the chestplate, refusing to become the monster the clone wants. However, he sees a terrifying vision of “Not Flame” hurting EggChan and leaving Wemmbu devastated. Later, Flame faces Wemmbu while fighting for control of himself. Remembering their childhood promise to never leave each other alone, Flame stops seeing Wemmbu as a rival and admits he only wants to stop hurting him. Wemmbu slowly lowers his weapon as Flame’s real self begins to break through.

So naturally, he decides the best way to propose is by illegally climbing the Empire State Building before sunrise, hanging a banner that reads When the power of love beats the love of power, the world knows peace, and asking the love of his life to marry him hundreds of meters above New York City.
Flame thinks it's the most reckless idea Wemmbu has ever had.
(I fixed the ending don't worry)
He climbs with him anyway.
Together, they scale steel and sky without ropes, carrying a message of hope, a ring tucked safely into a jacket pocket, and feelings neither of them can hide any longer.
