Magnolia "Maggie" Becker had tried to hide from the system, refusing to accept help and tried to stay independent as long as she could. Maggie's engine could only run on fumes for so long before she went to a clinic for relief from her flu symptoms. In a world where some people need to be cared for with tender hands, and its a liability for them to be out on their own, she was brought into a long term care facility to try and bring her into her head space.
CC who usually is fine satisfying his caregiver needs with volunteering takes an interest in the reluctant little, offering to foster and bring her out of her shell.
The two struggle to find common ground at first, but soon begin to build a bond strong enough to handle all the pounding anxieties of reality around them. -
