Summary
Based on the “The Hand That Feeds” Dunwall tale, however rather than weeping and dying from the plague The Lonely Rat Boy is found by Daud. The assassin opts to save the boy who’s on the verge of death, noticing the mark of the Outsider on his hand.
Though Daud is naturally trapped in denial as he battles with the fact he actually has a heart and cares about this boy, in the same way he cares about his own people but doesn’t admit it. And that The Knife of Dunwall isn’t all that heartless after all.
Set pre-canon for now, in 1835 Dunwall, a year after The Rat Boy witnessed the death of Esmond Roseburrow.
I’m not sure where this story will go, when or if it’ll enter into the games canon regarding Corvo, and or what may happen post canon if it goes that far lol. But after watching an edit of the Lonely Rat Boy and how tragic his short story is I knew I had to find a way for him to survive, and what better than to have Daud step in and save him. Without realising he’s adopting another kid into his crew and has to pretend he’s not basically becoming a father to another orphan, again.

Summary
Maybe it was a bad idea to get into a relationship with Basil even though it took them years to even confess their feelings. Maybe it was a terrible idea for them not to take things slowly when it came to the bedroom. Maybe it was an even worse idea when Sunny did not speak up when Basil started showing signs that there was a darker reason behind this new side of their relationship. It seems that a relationship like this was bound to be guilt ridden and doomed from the start because how could they be together and start doing such dirty things when neither of them have confronted their shame before?
