after the snap, peter feels as if everything in his life had changed. his home, his family, his feelings had all taken a huge turn. and for once, he feels ignored by the only family he has left.
It was official. He was forgotten.
The only family he had left had forgotten him.
Peter was never religious but this one time he allowed himself to pray to the Heavens that he would be loved one day. "Please please please let someone love me, I don't know what I did wrong but I'll do better, p-please I just want to be l-loved. I'll do anything! I just want a family. I want to be tucked in at night. I want lullabies and s-snuggles. I want to have hot cocoa with Mr. Stark on rainy days, please."

peter knew that everyone had moved on. it had been 5 years, it was inevitable. but when was someone going to notice that he hadn't?It would be like old times where Tony would come say goodnight to him and give him kisses on the forehead. He had said that it would keep the nightmares away and Peter truly believed it. He didn't want another nightmare of Ben and May. He couldn't.
Peter waited and waited, but the doorknob never opened. Tony never came to tuck him in and kiss him goodnight.
Peter fell asleep like that, looking at the door that would never open, and listened to a lullaby that came from the other room.
He would take what he could get.

peter comes back from the snap to a married may and a new baby cousin. christmas proves to be his worst nightmare, but luckily tony is there to reassure him that love is still in the holiday season.
"Wow..." Peter whispered as his smile grew wide with every present his eyes glossed over. Making sure no one was awake, Peter shuffled closer to the pile and began searching for one with his name on it.
But, with every tag turned, his smile slowly faded. Every present read 'Happy' or 'May' or 'Petra'. He desperately went over every single one again before he sat back with tears in his eyes. There weren't any gifts for him.

pepper and rhodey are convinced peter is tony's son, albeit with no logical proof. they throw a surprise party for him. basically 5,000 words of the avengers embarrassing themselves in front of a 16 year old.
“Y-You guys—“ Tony started, resting himself on the island edge, “—you guys are the most idiotic group of geniuses I’ve ever met.” Peter joined in as well, turning into a fit of giggles while Steve stepped closer, “What’s going on here? What’s so funny?”
Tony wiped tears from his eyes and used his other hand to rest on Peter’s shoulder, “This is Peter Parker, also known as Spider-man.” There was a long silence before their eyes popped in realization and they yelled in unison, “What?!”
