“Odysseus.” Odysseus did not startle. He also did not greet Diomedes despite having known of his approach. “Odysseus?”
Perhaps this was some sort of battle related trauma. Diomedes ended up sitting down besides Odysseus and let his shoulder bump against the sullen King. “Talk to me, friend.”
“...About what?”
“What’s going on? Polites is concerned, so are your men. Was it the blood? Or the men who fell? Rest assured, friend, none of yours fell today.”
“Do you think King Sisyphus fights against his punishment? Do you think the Fates would allow him, if he did?”
Flinching, Diomedes observed the change in Odysseus’ eyes. Instead of the colour of the sea, Odysseus’ eyes were taken over by a hue of red– only noticeable when observed in a certain angle but definitely present. Diomedes knew what caused a hue of red like that.
Odysseus had been touched by Ares’ Rage.

On what point do friends become lovers? When they spent a lot of time together? When they can be vulnerable in front of each other or when?
When does a touch hold more meaning? When it's intentional? When it is wanted - craved even?
And in the end of the day how do you express that you do love each other?
With both of them living their respective time in hell, Angel and Husk probably never expected to find something in place that should be a punishment and that something being a person so important that you wouldn't want to lose them again. But things are hard when you suddenly have to deal with feeling that you have either pronounced dead or frankly never believed to be able to feel them again.***

Or at least, they were. Until that invader offered something new: the chance to remember between resets. To make their own decisions with nothing more than some minor advice and a helping hand if requested. Naturally, Kris was interested. And that's why they woke up on Thursday morning, remembering two days that technically hadn't happened yet.
Messing with the code can be delicate work. Do the wrong thing at the wrong time, and the bridge might just break. Or change fundamentally.
It's a good thing nothing like that could happen, right?

"The most horrific isat au btw is if the party is 100% aware theyre in a timeloop but can't actually say anything different, cause the loops took Siffrin's "script" as the only way the party could act until Siffrin breaks script and thus allows them to act differently. Imagine being stuck in your own body as it acts out past lines and actions you took as your dear friend very visibly starts to lose their entire mind and memory in front of you, and you can do nothing."

Trusting to blindly in prophecy is a fool’s errand.
Yet attempting to outrun prophecy often brings one straight to it.
When a deity rests, unlike mortals, they do not dream. No. They prophesize. Visions of the past, visions of the future, or nothing at all.
It was most common for a god to simply see nothing while resting.
Out of the five bishops of the old faith it was Shamura was the most likely to receive these prophecies. Many trusted in Shamura’s words, they foresaw each and every one of his siblings, they prophesied the formation of the old faith, they raised each and every bishop of the old faith.
So, when Shamura voiced concerned about a prophecy they foresaw, the five bishops agreed to gathered at the temple within the silk cradle.

Summary
Narinder is used to the Lamb and their strange quirks. He is used to watching the Lamb do chores, gamble away their money in Knucklebones, fish, and other inane activities. Even being unable to read the Lamb's mind, The One Who Waits is confident that he knows the Lamb.
Until he realizes he doesn't.
The Lamb is suddenly very blank-faced, almost like a canvas. This is different than what he knows of them-- except when they are around their Followers. For some reason-- some strange, inexplicable reason-- the Lamb is only different around him.
Narinder must now balance dealing with the Lamb's bewildering behavior, becoming accustomed to mortal life, a stupid task from the Mystic Seller to fetch his siblings... and the whispers of strange happenings all around the cult-- all seemingly tied to a prophecy that rears its ugly head in his dreams that he cannot make heads nor tails of.
