Much like anything else in his life, waking up beaten and battered in a world not his own had not been his choice. A staggering experience, certainly, especially considering he had not expected to wake up in the first place. But there is something to be said about new beginnings, be they intended or accidental, especially when there was no world for him to be going back to.
Peace was a faraway dream for Kurosaki Ichigo. But Pirates, running rampant on seas not his own, were famously known as dreamers, letting very little get in the way of stopping them. In a world as colourful as bizzare as this one seemed to be, what other choice was there but to get swept away with the madness, and learn to find himself along the way once more?
And if he finds people along the way willing to take him into their fold? Well then perhaps he would find people he could protect; and this time, he would keep them alive.

This attempt fails when the FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit is called in to assist, and discover that they are not prepared for the existence of ghosts or how to profile a haunted town; who better to help them learn ghost psychology other than the city's ghostly superhero?
On top of this, Danny's fights with his parents are escalating; this new kid named Wes insists Danny isn't human; Danny's friendship with Valerie continues to crumble; Dash learns Danny's secret (although that may be a good thing?); Danny befriends Ember; and Danny learns that he has more ghost traits than he thought.

"Dad..." Mark’s voice was barely a breath. "That’s... that’s me. How is that me?"
Nolan didn't answer. He stood at the edge of the pit, looking down at the broken, older version of his son. His expression was unreadable, a mask of stone, but his hands were clenched so tightly at his sides that the air around his fists began to ripple.
He didn't look like a worried father. He looked like a man who had just seen a ghost that shouldn't exist.

Isshin is concerned for Ichigo. It's been 9 months since he lost his powers in the fight against Aizen and his mental state seems to be declining by the day. With no other ideas, he approaches Kisuke, who proposes a truly baffling idea. Sending Ichigo off to a school in Scotland called Hogwarts to learn magic of all things. It's outlandish, it's insane, but Isshin thinks it could just make a difference.
Ichigo just thinks it's dumb, but he won't say no to finally regaining some of the power he's lost. Even if it takes becoming a Wizard to get it.
