The guy’s a bastard, an absolute thorn in his side and has been for the last 800 and some years. They’ve never gotten along, seen eye-to-eye, or even made it though a single conversation without throwing insults at each other.
So no, Mu Qing doesn’t care when Feng Xin is absent from the heavenly realm for over a month. He couldn’t give less of a fuck.
He just… notices, is all.In which Feng Xin is grieving, and Mu Qing doesn't understand why he cares so much.

Summary
Mu Qing is cursed so that every insult he says or thinks turns into kind words of affection. For some reason, it only affects how he speaks to Feng Xin, and for some reason, the curse starts affecting Feng Xin too. It's humiliating. It's mortifying. Did it just make him shout, "Love you, Feng Xin" in the middle of the Heavenly Capital?
OR: I had a fever induced idea and wrote something ridiculous as a result. Enjoy the shenanigans.
