Summary
Ilya Rozanov was a menace. Often called an asshole, whether lovingly or not.
But it’s About Damn Time that he isn’t ashamed of his methods to stay happy. He won’t cower, not when his teammates or husband happen to also be little assholes and find it hilarious… when it isn’t.

Summary
“Is there anything else I can help you with tonight?” Shane says with a grin. Something flashes in Ilya’s eyes.
“I would think so,” Ilya says contemplatively before yanking Shane forward by the collar of his shirt, his luggage rolling uselessly to the side as he pushes Shane further into the room. The door shuts with a tremendous slam.
Ilya’s mouth closes on Shane, hot and insistent as they stumble through the foyer to the beds, both of them laughing a little breathlessly while Ilya gets his hands on the ridiculous suit Shane has to wear for his job.
“Sir, I’m just a bellboy,” Shane protests, or pretends to protest, in between Ilya licking into his mouth.
Ilya is a regular at the hotel Shane works as a bellboy at. None but Shane can figure out why he keeps returning.

Summary
Starting over was never easy, but Ilya Rozanov wanted to try.
One year in hell. Then—Canada: a foreign country and a fresh start.
He had to find himself again. His pride was shattered, his confidence gone. Almost nothing remained of the person he used to be. Still, he had to keep living, even if it was the hardest thing he'd ever done.
Shane Hollander had never felt so far from Yuna.
Once, she had been the closest person in his life—then she wasn’t.
He had spent years being angry at her. There was nothing left between them. Things with his girlfriend weren’t going much better, either. Maybe he just needed something new—a distraction.
Shane knew he’d be meeting his biggest rival in Saskatchewan. People said he was weird. Brilliant, too.
Rozanov, right?

Summary
Rose volunteers for a nonprofit that rescues sex-trafficked omegas, and Shane thinks it's a great cause. He even attends their fundraising galas.
Then, one night, Rose calls to ask for a favor: She wants Shane to let a recently-rescued male omega live with him. In his apartment.
His name is Ilya, Rose explains, and the thing is, despite omega hormone levels, he acts and smells just like an alpha. He can't keep staying in an omega group home because he's scaring the other omegas and endangering the staff.
But he could live with Shane, Rose insists. "You're a big strong alpha hockey player, so he can't intimidate you physically. But also he needs to feel safe, which he can with you, because you're not like other alphas." She pauses. "You know?"
By which she means Shane has never had a full rut, his scent glands barely work, he can't form a knot, and he has no interest in sticking his dick in anyone. Which, whatever. It's fine.
But if being a failure as an alpha means he can help this omega, Ilya, who's apparently as much of a biological anomaly as Shane is…
Shane says yes.
And maybe it's a stupid decision. But he knows that it's also the right one.

Summary
Shane snapped.
Later, people would describe it differently.
Some called it terrifying.
Some heroic.
Some beautiful.
Shane himself remembered almost nothing except overwhelming, animal panic.
His gloves hit the ice.
Then his helmet.
Then he collided with Volkov hard enough to rip him bodily off Ilya.
