Taki looked down at the cup in his hands.
The water stayed perfectly still most of the time, only rippling whenever he shifted the cup or the tremor in his hands worsened.
He would love to be water.
Not the kind trapped inside pipes or canals. The kind that belonged to the ocean. It looked so free, drifting wherever the current wanted to take it. Peaceful. It didn’t carry a horrendous amount of thoughts that wrapped around your throat until you couldn’t breathe anymore.
