Summary
Inspired by the HP universe, this story both follows and diverges from canon. Names and worldbuilding have been reimagined, while the story remains grounded in the feel and magic of HP. The plot draws inspiration from books 1 - 3, blending recognizable events with original developments in a retelling with aged-up characters.
I hope this story becomes a quiet place to return to - enjoyed with a cup of coffee/tea and a warm blanket - and that it might spark a little of the magic we all felt when we first discovered Harry Potter.

The character is inspired by Minerva McGonagall from Harry Potter. The story explores her final years and the quiet role she continues to play in the world, long after the great events have passed.
This story is written in the hope that the world may become a slightly kinder place for animals - something that requires deliberate actions, attention, and choice. The suffering of others rarely comes at a convenient time, but that does not make it any less real, or any less important.
