Not even his noble status and foreknowledge would make it easy for him to survive the storm to come, and being in a child's body certainly doesn't help.

As it turns out, being a Proxy isn't a great job. The work is either mind-numbing or life-threatening, the clients are usually idiots or crazy, the cops are always after you, and the payouts are usually small. Unless your Inter-Knot username happens to be 'Phaethon', that line of work is probably going to be more trouble than it's worth.
Too bad I didn't have any other options. It's not the best career path, but hey, a job is a job.
