Summary
It's been raining all day in the valley, and Snufkin's tent is gone. Moomintroll hopes his friend hasn't left for the winter.
Or, Moomintroll blinked away the sleep, his eyes adjusting to the low light to see an unexpected intruder dripping puddles onto his bedroom floor.
“Snufkin! You’re soaked!”
“Nothing gets past you,” Snufkin grumbled. Moomintroll knew he was only being grouchy because he hated being wet.

Summary
Growing up in the valley, Moomin always thought it was sprinkled with a bit of both: whimsy and magic. This belief was further cemented when, in the summer of his twelfth year, Moomin met two people who would, ultimately, shape his future for the better (minus some hiccups along the way - what teen gets an easy ride in life, after all?).
As time passes and Floren becomes his girlfriend and Snufkin his best friend, Moomin should be thrilled, so why can't he help but think he doesn't have things as figured out as he first believed...

Summary
Scaling the tower was no easy feat, but Sir Moomintroll had slain megalodons and dragons. A tower was nothing! He was only slightly out of breath as he neared the top. There was no time to dilly-dally, though. Pulling himself into the basket, Moomin announced, “Worry not, fair maiden, for I have come to rescue yo…” He trailed off as he locked eyes with the person waiting for him atop the ‘tower’.
It wasn’t Snorkmaiden.
“Snufkin?!”
“Ah, hello, Moomintroll.”

Summary
“Face it, he’s not coming back,” Little My said as bluntly as ever. She was never one to soften the blow. Sometimes, Moomintroll could appreciate that. This was not one of those times.
“You don’t know that,” he argued. The truth was, though, Moomintroll was losing hope. Snufkin had never been gone so long before. What if he’d had enough of the valley? What if he’d had enough of Moomintroll?
How was Moomintroll meant to carry on when his world had abandoned him?
“He wasn’t anything special,” Snorkmaiden said, looking up at the sky. The three of them were meant to be cloud-gazing. Moomintroll regretted pointing out the cloud that had looked like Snufkin’s hat. He should have realised it would shift the conversation to one he didn’t want to have.
“He was special to me,” Moomintroll said.

“Now, now,” Snufkin told himself. “It could be a coincidence…”
A coincidence, that a poem with the exact same title and opening lines as his own work had made its way to publication? Unlikely.
Snufkin didn’t have his original copy to compare the stolen poem against. He only enjoyed writing poetry. Afterwards, he never really wanted to revisit it or share it. He just left the old notebook behind somewhere and procured a new one, ready to start again.
There was no denying the familiarity, though. After hearing it in Moominpappa’s voice, he couldn’t remember when or where he penned it, but the work was certainly his.
That didn’t solve the issue of how this De Hemulton fellow had come to claim it as his own, or why.
