    Percy was not going on a quest. No, he was not. Chiron refused to say why it was necessary or what help he would get. And he most certainly was not going with Annabeth after her stunt with the Capture the Flag game.
    So, Percy might have tattled to his father, more like complained. He certainly didn't expect his father to answer. He most certainly didn't expect one of his immortal sisters to show up and take over camp.
    But, what can you do?

    He waited a few moments longer before he spoke, until the kid's breathing was more even and the last of the tremors had subsided. If he exaggerated his own breathing for the little menace to copy, it didn't mean anything. He just really, really, didn't want to deal with the fallout of camp being wiped from the Long Island shore.

    "Now. Wanna tell me why you're awake and bothering me at..." he spared the nearby clock another glance and winced. "12:07am? When all other sensible people are fast asleep?" Gods, he was far too tired and underpaid to deal with this shit. 

    "You weren't asleep though," Percy pointed out. "So I don't think you can really talk when you're unsensible like the rest of us." He paused, face scrunching in confusion. "Is unsensible even a word? It sounds funny." 

    The little shit.

    The one she did have was far too flimsy and restrictive than she would have liked, but now that her baby was showing his divinity, the only option that she had was to stamp it out, whatever it took.

    Sally Jackson raises her son to hate the water, that it is something to fear. Something to avoid and despise. She does everything she can to stamp any sign of her sons divinity and father into dust to blow away in the wind.

    Sally Jackson believes herself stronger than Divinity itself.

    Percy Jackson tries, he really does. But nothing is stronger than the pull of the ocean, not even a desperate mother.

    Frank and Hazel found an artifact and brought it to Camp Half-Blood, not knowing what it is or what it does. Unfortunately SOMEONE just had to touch it and thus many people who were on quests all switched divine parents.

    And Percy as always just HAS to be immune to the stupid thing and figure out how to reverse the effects of the stupid box.
