Summary
"Hoisting himself to his feet, he shuffled over to the dashboard, wiping his tears along the way. Mechanically, the guide began to flip switches and press the buttons, directing the course of the small pod towards the nearest planet in the star system.
While his piece-of-shit father had neglected much of the education required for guides like Jungkook, he had thankfully still given him the opportunity to learn how to fly, both in and outside of atmospheres. He had cited how Jungkook “might still be of use” as a pilot, but frankly, Jungkook didn’t care. He was free now, and he needed to take advantage of it.
Sentinels had already hurt him so much. He’d be damned if he gave them another chance."

Summary
“I saw how your rope top left you after taking you down,” he answered quietly. “That was shitty of him, to ignore you afterwards.”
“He didn’t ignore me,” Jungkook sniffed, feeling defensive enough to break his earlier silence. He dabbed at his nose with the gifted tissues, using another one to wipe his face. “He asked if I was fine.” The stranger met his eyes for a second, before Jungkook tore his gaze away to look at the grass shivering in the night breeze. Something about meeting this man’s gaze felt almost uncomfortable, vulnerable in ways he wasn’t prepared for.
“I don’t mean to be rude,” the stranger pointed out, ”but this does not look ‘fine’ to me.”

Summary
"Hoseok was at that bar again.
Well, admittedly, he didn’t actually know whether or not it was “again.” There’s a small part of him cringing at the idea of ever being a regular at a place like this— sticky floors, peeling paint, yellowed lights from decades ago. But when he blinked into the world half an hour ago, his feet brought him to this place when he had decided there was nothing better to do than start walking. He had no idea what had drawn him in, but clearly something had.
And that was the problem, wasn’t it? Beyond waking up after whatever happened this morning, Hoseok remembered almost nothing. "

“Sometimes when I’m working,” Namjoon begins, and his voice is closer now. Yoongi doesn’t open his eyes, still listening. “Sometimes,” he goes on, “I feel stuck. And I can’t figure out how to move forward. It feels like I’ll never be able to push past something and continue, like I’ll be trapped forever.”
Trapped. Yoongi understands that feeling, that reality.
For so long, Yoongi was just focused on surviving. The future didn’t matter, he just had to get through each day. Had to live and get through it. Even when he got away, he didn’t think much of the future. It was still just about staying alive. But now…
-OR-

Summary
When the Kims take in what’s left of the Jeon pack, Jungkook learns that life can be more fun, more exciting, more colourful than he’s ever known. That his calloused hands are good at carving pretty pumpkins for Hallow’s Eve, that ice-skating feels a bit like flying, that something as simple as a braided bracelet can make a friend weep.
His only wish, now, is for the most handsome alpha he’s ever laid eyes on to give him a second glance.
Feat. BFF Jimin, Yoongi-the-scary-but-nice-bro-in-law, Jin-the-master-of-string-bracelets, and many more who teach Jungkook that life isn’t all about cooking, cleaning, and following crappy head alphas’ orders.

Summary
After disowning his anti-Elemental family, Jungkook seeks Elemental help for his chronic pain. He finds The Magic Shop, which has much more to offer him than just tinctures and amulets.
--
Jungkook raises his chin to look up at the sky. The light pollution obscures the stars. Suddenly, Yoongi wants to take Jungkook somewhere remote. Maybe they could travel up to the mountains for a vacation. Yoongi imagines lying under shining stars and breathing mountain air and listening to the sounds of cicadas with Jungkook by his side.
“What about you?” Jungkook asks.
Yoongi responds with a confused hum, distracted by his fantasies of a mountain cabin vacation with Jungkook. Jungkook clarifies, “Was your Element celebrated where you grew up?”
Yoongi is slammed back into reality. He stops walking for a moment, then starts back up. Jungkook keeps pace with him. A gentle wave washes onto the shore, and sea foam piles around Jungkook's feet before sinking down into the sand. Yoongi watches the sea foam, unable to look Jungkook in the eyes. He says, “Um, not really.” Then, he’s more honest. “Not at all, actually.”
