Summary
Spock could sense the Captain's worry radiating from somewhere to his left and several decks above him, as well as the doctor’s, only a room away, which was excessively potent from the closer proximity (and due to McCoy's natural caring tendencies).
Try as he did to rationalize it, to tell himself their concern meant nothing to him, that it was illogical, he could not help but appreciate them.
Or: The triumvirate investigate a planet in hopes of it being suitable for shore leave. Unfortunately, Spock does something stupid and gets injured. Leonard, Jim, and Spock face their feelings for each other throughout the whole ordeal and finally work things out enough to get together (following a brief rescue mission for Spock, after his ‘something stupid’).

Summary
“Spock, I didn’t even know I was attracted to you till about half an hour ago,” McCoy finally found himself able to admit, almost apologetically, still struggling to process the fact that the words ‘I love you’ had just exited his first officer’s mouth.
Spock gave him a small shrug, which felt uncharacteristic, as though he were intentionally trying to be more human for McCoy in that moment.
“That does not upset me.”
“Well, why did you never tell me you felt this way?”
“Because I correctly assumed you did not view me the same, and as a Vulcan, it was not terribly difficult to set my feelings aside in the expectation that one day, they might be returned.”
“Oh,” McCoy breathed out.
Or: Spock gets high on catnip and Leonard must look after him. The results are… interesting, to say the least. :)

Summary
“Are you allowed to tell us?” Bones asked, almost hesitant.
“I…” After another moment of them obviously feeling conflicted, they seemed to make up their mind and met Jim and Bones’ gazes again with more confidence. “I am Spock.”
“Spock,” Jim echoed, the name (or title, perhaps) settling on his tongue as though it belonged there.
“You’re not from around here, are ya, Spock?” Bones said dryly.
Spock just lifted a condescending eyebrow at him.
Or: Teenage Spock steals a shuttle from his parents’ science ship to go do some sightseeing and accidentally crash lands on Earth. Jim and Bones witness his crash and try to do anything they can to help him. But along the way, they all become a little more attached to each other than they’d intended…

Besides, Jim was everything to him now. Truly. McCoy was head over heels for the kid.
In fact, he was so far gone, Jim was basically all he could think about these days, no matter how hard he tried not to.
It almost felt like he was on some slow descent to insanity, being completely consumed by something he’d never felt for anyone before and had only seen in holos or heard in dumb pop music and yet, deep down, hoped to experience his whole life.
Or: Bones falls madly in love with Jim and tries to pretend he totally didn’t even though he totally did

Spock quit holding onto his sehlat and instead grasped the front of Sarek’s shirt with his small fingers, starting to feel a little more protected than before.
“You are safe here,” his father continued, so low it almost seemed to be meant for his own ears than for Spock’s. “I will not allow you to come to harm.”

Spock and McCoy are on an exploratory mission on the planet Sedalia, whose native fauna has a most peculiar effect when inhaled. When Spock becomes infected, Dr. McCoy must do everything in his power to help his friend return to normal.
I.e. Spock becomes sex pollened, but the pollen actually makes him act like an illogical little kid. And McCoy is great with little Vulcan children.

Berättelsen är en djupdykning i Leonard McCoys dolda, inre trauma efter händelserna i Star Trek III. Efter att framgångsrikt ha burit och återbördat Spocks själ (katra), lämnas McCoy kvar i ett smärtsamt känslomässigt vakuum, plågad av identitetskris och mardrömmar i Vulcans tryckande hetta. Medan resten av besättningen firar att Spock lever, sörjer McCoy i det tysta eftersom den återfödde Spock drabbats av minnesförlust och inte längre känner igen honom.
