Summary
The story follows Paul Talbot, an anthropology postgraduate from UCL turned MI5 analyst, whose life becomes entangled with Lara Croft's across the events of the Survivor Trilogy. What begins as an academic friendship built on cross-disciplinary research into the Sun Queen Himiko evolves into a friendship tested by secrecy, trauma, obsession and the growing shadow of Trinity, a millenia-old organization that no intelligence service knows its extension, until Paul begins pulling at threads his training was never designed to find.
The story is told primarily from Paul's perspective, with some key scenes from Lara's point of view. Crown and Cross is meant to be a fan-made companion narrative to the Survivor timeline games, comics and books, not a retelling.Bookmarked by PommesFrites1521

Summary

Summary
The Houses of Bolton and Stark share a bloody history. Twice have the Boltons rebelled against the Starks, and twice have they been forced to bend the knee. The Lord of the Dreadfort, Roose Bolton decides a different tactic to strengthen his house under the Warden of the North. He offers his trueborn son and heir, Domeric Bolton as a ward to House Stark.
Starts two years before Robert arrives to Winterfell and will lead up to the end of the events of the first book: Game of Thrones.
Story is complete.
The sequel is up and it is tentatively titled: Our Blades Are Sharp 2: The Red Reign.

“At least I know you’re lying right now!” He was shaking now, looking at her in a way which he hadn’t in a long long while as her expression flickered. Just slightly.
“Oh, fuck you.”
“No, Ada, fuck you!” His voice finally rose properly, failing to keep the lid on it. “You don’t get to stand there and act like I forced this on you when you kept coming back. Every. Single. Time.”
Or the one where Ada and Leon eventually figure it out but not before hurting each other in the process.
