The rainwater has made it so that his pink skin is visible under the fur and Baiken can see that he looks sickly; like she used to, his ribs jut out from his body, skin stretched tightly in malnourishment.
For a moment-- and only a moment-- Baiken's heart cinches. Hell if she knows where the cat is even *from*, but regardless, she knows she's been there. Miserable, cold, hungry.
