Dazai Osamu died a painful death in Meursault.
There was the pain of the bullets, the broken bones in his body, and the pain of losing against his enemy. But, the worst of all the pains that he felt was an ache in his heart, as the one who pulled the trigger was none other than the only one he was capable of feeling 'love' for, his friend, Nakahara Chuuya.
Dazai Osamu wished for a clean, painless death, one without regrets.
His wish didn't come true.On the other hand, Dazai's last words reach Chuuya's heart and overcome the vampirism just enough for Chuuya to realise what has transpired.

She comes to a few realisations about herself.-Slight canon divergence as Yosano isn't rescued until she's at least 17 in this story.
