Summary
Crowley’s life is going great-- he’s got a new job in a new city, a new flat that fits him well. He’s got plans to buy houseplants and everything.
None of which explains why he's ALSO got a strange man standing in his flat claiming to be a demon. Claiming that Crowley summoned him. A strange, fluffy sort of man that he could really find attractive, if it weren't for the whiff of brimstone.

Summary
He shouldn’t be seeing this; it’s too much. The ethereal and the material. The bright sparks of the humans, their souls shining out into the night. He usually turns this off, why can’t he turn this off?
“Here, mate, you allr-- Aaah!” Someone tries to touch him, pulls back with a cry.
“Sorry,” he manages. He must be quite close to the surface if he’s burning people. He totters on unsteady legs through souls like stars. Looks around him to find quiet, and finds a conflagration.
Safety, he thinks. Help. Blazing out into the night. He could follow it with his eyes closed.

“Oh, but you mustn’t think I don’t want to. The kissing, that was nice. Only... do you remember the ox?”
“Oh-hooooo, yeah. Not gonna forget the ox in a hurry.”
“It’s been more than four thousand years!”
“And I haven’t forgotten. See?”
Aziraphale is a little afraid of what might happen if he lets himself taste the forbidden fruit (not the apple, this time, either!).
Fortunately, he's got an idea for that.

Aziraphale sighed. “Gabriel. Told me to come here, it was very important. Said I should get the ear of the Emperor.”
“Good luck finding an ear in all that,” Crowley snickered.
Or, there's a very important meeting at the Imperial Palace in Rome. Crowley and Aziraphale are both ordered to attend. Neither of them is entirely certain why they were sent to something a lot more carnal than they expected.

Summary
“You,” Crowley said. “You are in the Musketeers? You.”
“That’s... that’s my assignment, yes.”
Crowley put his spectacles back on, but not before Aziraphale caught the massive eyeroll. “Okay, whose musketeers?”
Aziraphale grabbed his tabard again, holding and shaking it to emphasize the red fabric. “The Church, of course!”

“Did you ever see one?”
“See what, angel?”
“The marks-- the soul marks. What if we were soul mates?”
“I think I’d know if I had a magic mark on me.”
Soulmates are real, but rare, given marks of the Almighty’s approval.
Crowley and Aziraphale do not have them.
They're not going to let that stop them.

Summary
Aziraphale was back. Crowley could feel it, could always tell when the angel returned from Heaven. The whole feel of grey, wet winter London got brighter and warmer when Aziraphale was back in the world.
It seemed a little weak this time, though. Bits of radiance snaked through the snow and dirty slush, rather than shining brightly out from Soho. Something was wrong about that.
Crowley was out the door of his flat before he could think about it.

Summary
"Honestly.” Aziraphale huffed at him. “What’s gotten into you? Anathema and her young man are going to be here before long.”
Crowley shook himself. “Right. Right... I’ll just hang these up then, shall I?”
“If you’d be so kind.” Aziraphale bustled off, leaving Crowley staring at the mistletoe in his hand.
...his hand, which was growing numb.
“Uh... angel?”
“Yes, dearest?”
“Was mistletoe ever used to ward off evil?”
