And Deku could really use some stress relief.
His footsteps were loud as his boots slammed against the sidewalk. He wasn’t running, but he was close to it, his heart racing in his chest as his legs automatically led him to Bakugou’s apartment.
His phone buzzed with a text from Bakugou, and he nearly dropped it with how quickly he pulled the device from his pocket.
Deku: need you Kacchan
Deku: are you home?
Kacchan: Come over.Good thing Deku was already on his way. He knew it wasn’t a good decision. He shouldn’t be using Bakugou in the way he wanted to.
But Bakugou had said stress relief, and Deku was about a few bad thoughts away from a panic attack. Bakugou could fix it—fix him. Bakugou would make it better. He’d promised relief after all.

Or, Deku forgets that he can simply ask for a hug and goes the most backwards way about getting one.

It’s Gladio’s turn to freeze this time around, staring at her with wide eyes, mouth hanging open slightly. She turns the full weight of her scowl onto him; she’s always been ridiculously small in comparison to him, and she can only hope to one day be half as bulky as he is, but he always wilts under her glare – something she absolutely takes advantage of whenever she can – and he does exactly that now.
“And you’re cheating on Noct.”
He frowns. “I’m –“
“I saw you and Noct on the outlook,” she says accusingly, and his brows shoot up. “But then I saw you and Prompto at the market. And then I saw Iggy and Noct this morning.” She glares as mightily as she can. “I thought you were better than that, Gladdy. I thought you all were!”
Gladio blinks once, twice, before promptly bursting out laughing.
or: a series of misunderstandings and a lack of context leads Iris to believe that not only is her brother cheating on Noct with Prompto, but Noct is cheating on her brother with Ignis, and she doesn't know whose neck she's going to wring first.

Noctis huffs behind him, mutters, “It’s always Niflheim.”
“Gods,” Prompto whispers before he can stop himself. His voice is rough, almost wet—he doesn’t understand what’s going on.
Prompto doesn’t know if it’s what he says, or maybe something on the television finally catches the attention of his boyfriends but all at once, they react too. Gladio swears, two then three times in a row, and Prompto gets it, wishing he was less frozen, so he could join in too.Alternatively: Prompto finds out he’s a clone at the exact same moment as the rest of the world.

Ignis pulls a whistling kettle off of the stove. Noctis twitches at his side, a threadbare sock tickling his thigh under a heavy knit blanket. Gladio must be nearby, too; Prompto can hear the deep rumble of his voice, sending a shiver down his spine unbidden.
Maybe there’s no one here at all.
He’s lying still enough to be dead, he thinks.
At least he can hardly feel the cold anymore.Prompto can take care of himself. He's mastered the art of it in the years he's spent on his own, carefully weaving a delicate veil of explanations for the prince and his entourage.
He can juggle his classes, his work, and the endless piles of bills in the entryway. He can get by on the meager scraps left for groceries when rent is due.
At least until a frozen pipe and an ever observant advisor make it impossible to keep up the farce.
