Summary
Four prisoners escape from a jail way out in a rural area. They are able to evade the police for up to 2000 blocks until they are spotted when crossing by a fenced and walled off area. The wall seems to go on forever so the gang jumps the wall. Feeling victorious that the police have now stopped chasing them for some odd reason they plan to lay low and continue their journey out of the region the next day. What the group doesn't know is that they've entered a city that has been closed off for years due to a viral outbreak. Upon encountering an infected they are saved by a mysterious cloaked man.
The city is filled with many unique dangers. Baneful survivors mixed with deserter scientist and civilians, scientific prospectors who eliminate anything they deem a threat, and the biggest of all, a gigantic mutant infected that seems to guard the main laboratory.
