    Percy Jackson was done being a pawn for the Gods, punished for simply existing, even after everything he'd done to protect Olympus. With the help of a sympathetic God, Percy Jackson sheds his old life for a new one. It was hard, adjusting to a mortal life and going back to mortal schools, but he pushed on. He struggled, he persevered, and his life took a turn he hadn't expected but, honestly, wasn't going to complain about (too much) after his temper cost him. He'd adapt, and he'd do the best he could.

    Ryland Grace just wanted a normal life, even if it was hard fitting in. His Demigod life was behind him, but always hanging above his head. It was hard to relate to others or make friends, but who needed friends when he had his kids? Being a school teacher was, honestly, the most rewarding thing. Even if they liked pushing his buttons at times. Grace would do anything to be the teacher for them that he never had, someone who'd fight for them, believe in them, and help them be their best selves.

    So, when he wakes up in space, with no memory of how he got there, Ryland Grace thinks it's to save his kids. Percy Jackson thinks the Gods decided to punish him again. Both agree that letting Earth die isn't an option.

    Doctor Ryland Grace is not dead. Far from it, he lived. He recovered from his starvation and (some) of his traumas, and can now live a peaceful life in his very own biodome. That is until the day that the sky cracks, and the planet shudders. Something has entered the atmosphere, bringing with it visions of viscera and tragedy, and... humanity? He can't sit by and do nothing, but will he risk the safety of Erid and it's people for his own greed?

    Convict Simon, aka "The Butcher", wants to live. It's all he's ever wanted. When he's sealed away into the creaking darkness of his makeshift sub, he knows his chances are slim. That is, until he starts to hear a voice. It soothing, happy, free. It even calls itself a grace. Why does he feel like he knows that voice more and more with each passing sentence? Like he's... known it before?

    Grace turns his gaze back to the craft in front of him. Now that he takes a closer look, it is a craft, and a shoddily constructed one at that. Even from this far away, he can see patches of metal roughly welded together to create something just this side of airtight.
    At least it used to be. The thing looked like it had been hit by a bulldozer, and then backed over for good measure. There were holes punched into the metal big enough to stick his arm through, the glass on the front was cracked, one tap away from shattering completely, and the whole thing was covered in dents and scratches. He couldn’t even see any way for the thing to propel itself. He leaned in a bit closer to see around the back and … is that a propeller? Like on a-
    “..submarine?” He whispers, almost to himself, trying to process what’s in front of him. Maybe he needs that nap a bit more than he thought.

    “Rouge.”
    “Right. Okay.” Rouge broke off for a moment, taking a breath before resuming. “So. The tapes we found are… not quite what we thought they were.”
    "I thought we agreed to hand them over to GUN to take care of."
    "I know, but... I got curious," Rouge admitted, and Shadow scoffed, unsurprised, though growing more tense when he noted the unease in his friend's expression, her posture.
    He followed Rouge into their living room. Sat on top of their end table was the box Shadow recognised, spotting the tapes they had recovered in the Eggman base poking out through the opened slit.
    “Okay.” Shadow said, voice his usual deadpan drawl as he returned his attention to the bat. “What was it that was so important you needed me here?”
    “I’ll just show you.”

    Or

    Shadow and Rouge find a box of tape recordings in an abandoned Eggman facility with one clue on it; a piece of tape labeled 'SONIC'. When they finally watch the tapes to figure out what's hiding on them, they realize Sonic has been hiding a lot from everyone, and they may have just signed up for more than they bargained for.

    Sonic has a secrete, one he has hid for years now. It wasn't suppose to be hidden for so long, in fact almost everyone in his life knew about it. Everyone but his family that is. It's been five years, and with the news that he's going to be starting his own family, Sonic has to come clean. Now, as he prepares to welcome his own little hoglets into the world, he also has to see if he can fix the strained relationship he has with his family.

     

    ~~He laughs, as he sits on the floor next to Ozzie, a bowl of dry cereal in his hands. It took six weeks and three days for Sonic to fall in love with Shadow. He never though he would fall in love. First because he was in hiding, never mind that he had not actually thought about it when he was younger. Then, when he didn’t need to hide anymore, there was never anyone who caught his attention, Knuckles and Tails were his siblings, and everyone else was a human. And here comes this hedgehog, this tragically beautifully kind hog. Making Sonic fall in love.~~

    Two weeks since Sonic and Shadow had talked on the moon.

    In just two weeks after the Eclipse Cannon explosion, everything has seemed to go back to normal. Green Hills is safe, and Tom’s injuries will be fully healed in a couple more weeks now, so his family is safe, too. And overall, they haven’t seemed to dwell too much on everything that had happened. At least, not anymore.

    But Sonic hasn’t stopped thinking about it. His mind seems to run faster than he can nowadays, and he really can’t keep up no matter how hard he tries.”

    Basically a mix of all my favorite live-action sonadow tropes I’ve been seeing and based off ideas I’ve read in other fics I’ve enjoyed. My own take on the ‘Sonic misses Shadow and then Shadow reappears and they have to hide that they’re meeting each other and slowly falling in love’ thing, if you will.

    And all it would take to find out was to barge into his stepson's room and make sure he was sleeping soundly.

     

    Why was he hesitating?

     

    He bit his lip hard when the young man teased at the top button of his shirt through the screen. With only his lips exposed to the camera's view, he licked at his glossy lips and smiled at the audience. “Wanna see what’s underneath, daddy?”

     

    Shadow's partner is leaving for a work trip, forcing him to stay home with his stepson. It's hard enough staying under the same roof as him when the little shit hates his guts. It's another issue entirely when he finds a camboy who looks eerily similar to the kid who rips into him every chance he gets. Except, this camboy is sweeter than honey and gushes about wanting a daddy of his own. This couldn't be Sonic, no way. Could it?
