Neuvillette, on the other hand, has been quite preoccupied with navigating his new position as the sole ruler of the nation. With the gulf that suddenly opened between them after the fated trial, Neuvillette believes it's best to give Furina time and lets her come to him when she wishes.
But people say still water runs deep and Neuvillette will soon come to understand the saying.

Still lying on his back, Xbalanque opens his eyes. He knows he shouldn't be smiling, not when Och-Kan, with his pure, beautiful, and noble heart, is genuinely worried that their idea–his, as Och-Kan repeatedly claimed–may become nothing more than another burn scar on his face and body.
But he can't help himself. Seeing Och-Kan’s face over his, worry practically dripping from his eyes like this invites a tickling sensation to bloom in his stomach.

Summary
Thrain doesn't need to wait long because a woman with long red hair soon enters his line of sight. She looks just as surprised to see him as he is to see her. However, that surprise twists into a deep frown in a split second, her eyes quickly become filled with a mix of seriousness and fury. Her hands curl into blazing fists in an intake of breath. Before he can call her name, she has kicked the ground, lunging at him at a blinding speed with her fist pulled, intent on landing a punch on his chest and sending him straight to the Night Kingdom.
Instinctively, he raises a hand to catch her fist with his palm, only for her fist to go through it and his chest, shocking them both and at the same time, reminding Thrain that, though they may be standing in the same place, they actually belong to two different realms.
Thrain clears his throat, a little unsure as to how to address the situation they are in, “Greetings, Mavuika.”

The dragon's laboured breathing finally dwindles to nothing, and centuries of nightmares at last come to an end. He dies — and immediately breathes again, out of shock and habit, not from necessity. He had long doubted he would ever reach the Night Kingdom. And he definitely didn't expect it to be like this.
As stated in-game, Dragons are born to submit to their superiors and command their inferiors...it is the law carved into their blood, their path ordained by nature, for the weak to revere the strong, offspring to follow their sire, and subjects to serve their sovereign. I think Och-Kan is greatly misunderstood (a cruel tyrant? yes. misunderstood? also yes.). I think he was human enough to resist some part of that draconic nature, but not all of it. and god i just want a happy ending for him.

"Ms. Nicole?" Varka rasped, a weak but genuine smirk finding its way to his face. "Glad to hear your voice."
“Glad to be noticed. Finally,” Nicole replied, her tone carrying a hint of a smile. “Are you okay?”
Varka leaned his head back, closing his eyes. "Wow, look at that. I’m hungry, wounded, and a complete mess, but I’ve got a beautiful angel looking after me. If this is the service I get, I’m probably going to get myself lost every once in a while. Maybe I'll make it a weekly thing."

Stuck in a closet too small for the both of them, can Yunsu and Chae-a put aside their differences and work together to locate Grimm before their foes do? Doubtful. But can Chae-a at least get away from Yunsu before he starts getting too handsy in here and they end up doing something that they shouldn’t be??
