    There was the sound of the door shutting. A few footsteps.

    “She’s not here?” the voice asked.

    Zoey dropped her voice lower, almost conspiratorial. “No. She went out—probably won’t be back for, like… fifteen, twenty minutes.”

    A beat of silence. Then a quiet chuckle. “Good. Then I can steal you for a while.”

    There was a nervous little hiccup of laughter from Zoey. “Wait—don’t get too close, I’m still live—”

    “I’ll stay out of frame,” the voice promised, tone coaxing.

    The sound of a hand brushing fabric, then a soft shuffle—the mic catching the rustle as Zoey was pulled slightly sideways. A faint smack of lips meeting. Quick. Too quick to be mistaken.

    Chat slowed to a crawl.

    [ewhfjdjw;]: ???????

    [rumi4lifer]: wait…

    [sealoverfour45]: SHE DIDNT MUTE THE MIC OMG

    Elphaba Thropp has never quite felt loved. Well, not really. She was tolerated, allowed,and on the rare occasion liked, but being loved, that unconditional, all consuming love has always escaped her. She didn't know what it was supposed to look like, how it was supposed to feel, but in this moment, as she lays there with Glinda securely in her arms, her soft snores melodic in Elphaba’s ears, the smell of flowers from the shampoo Glinda uses stimulating her senses, all Elphaba thinks, as she slowly succumbs to sleep is, “wow, this is what it feels like, isn't it?”

    “No, pleas–” Galinda looks like she might pass out, the hands over her mouth trying to push her jaw closed, but she evidently can’t stop talking. “I told everyone I wanted to kiss you even though I d–” Galinda stops and tries again. “I don’t w– Don’t want to–” 

    Elphaba’s knees are weak as she studies her roommate. Something has taken over Galinda, something magical, it must have. Galinda is gagging, trying to finish her sentence over and over again, but she fails, an expression between confusion, horror, and fury in her eyes.

    THANK FUCK EVERYOBDY IS ALIVE AND HAPPILY IN LOVE (applies to both Ronance and Elmax) THIS FIC WAS AN EMOTIONAL ROLLERCOASTER AND IM BARELY HANGINNG IN THERE BUT EVERYBODY IS HAPPY :333 and so am I.

    This story actually made me go through all five stages of grief twice including one time backwards cause wtf?? But I absolutely adored it, how it hooked me up with all the pain and suffering and awful comphet as well as the kisses and the love and the confessions :3.
