After Caine's torture of the players, he returns to sanity and manages to stay for a little longer than in the show, time enough to express the horror and regret of his own actions.
But still, the deletion happens, and the players are left in a broken circus now filled with voices echoing all of their regrets.
All is not lost, though, as Kinger realises that maybe they can still be saved; the key to getting the circus back is, of course, rather obvious. Caine is needed.

It's hard to tell in its dilapidated state. But he knows, instinctively, that he stands on a stage. Hardwood. Shining, once upon a time, he thinks. It's solid beneath his feet.
He taps a foot against it. He receives feedback; pressure against his sole, an audible clack in the air.
What a strange sensation.

A desperate act to save the circus leads to a haphazard reconstruction of Caine's corrupted code. But something is wrong. Now powerless and flooded with memories that do not belong to him, Caine believes he's another human.But if Caine thinks he's a human, and the players are busy trying to stop the circus from complete self-destruction, then who's the one running the show?

Summary
Instead of deleting Caine, Kinger finds a log out function hidden in the code. Now everyone has to adjust to their old lives while coping with the events in the circus.
Meanwhile, there are still mysteries left to solve. And they are not the only ones who made it out. Caine has to adapt to the human world while fulfilling his goal: revenge.

After Caine intrudes on Pomni's private time, she soon comes to realize he has some gaps in his knowledge that could be used to finally bring some life to the Circus.
