Sherlock is a reluctant Prince who wants to restore the royal carousel. John is the artist hired to do it. Sherlock is suppose to marry Countess Irene Adler. Councellor Moriarty is pushing for the wedding. Basically a Hallmark Christmas movie plot. Not brit picked, no beta so all mistakes are mine. Things hadn’t gone exactly to plan. Sherlock hadn’t meant to be gone for two years. He hadn’t meant to come back in the middle of John proposing. And he certainly hadn’t meant to get John’s wife killed. Even though it technically wasn’t his fault, somehow it was his fault.
He had to let John go. Let him move on and find peace. He couldn’t keep ruining John’s life and his happiness. So Sherlock decided to move forward the only way he knew how. And that meant inviting someone new into his life.
