He feels like he's floating. Floating above nothing, crouching on a block with his feet steady on nothing.
Like he is untethered from the broken ill-fitted vessel that is his body. It's strange. All his worries, every little knot of anxiety and stress and unfathomable worry washes away as Avery holds him in his arms - he smells like the sea and there is something so calming about that: the feeling like he is looking out into a fathomless ocean, sun rising and casting it's radiance over it and shining upon them as they sit there, hand in hand.
