Huang Xing stepped closer, his sneakers silent on the tiles, his slim body moving with a predator’s grace. His pheromones wrapped around Qiuqiu, mingling with the heliotrope that bloomed stronger now, a floral wave that seemed to pull Huang Xing in, his nostrils flaring as he inhaled.
“You’re not very subtle, Qiuqiu,” he said, his voice dropping to a seductive murmur, his face lighting up with a smile that was both playful and knowing.
“I’ve seen you watching me. Taking my towels.” His eyes traced Qiuqiu’s face— the flush on his cheeks, the way his brown eyes widened, the slight tremble of his lips. Huang Xing’s fair skin caught the light, his silky forearms flexing as he crossed his arms, the motion pulling his jersey tighter across his chest.
Qiuqiu’s mouth opened, but words failed him. His backpack sat open, the towel a guilty secret peeking out, its white cotton stark against the navy fabric.
